After a career spent in tech convinced he should have been a writer, Carmen started doing standup comedy. He found that writing and telling jokes had more immediate gratification than trying to grind out a novel or screenplay.
As a widower and a single parent, he brings his personal story to his comedy and actually gets people to laugh – proving the old adage that comedy is tragedy plus time.
He is well-known for producing shows and open mics in Connecticut and the Hudson Valley, including successful monthly shows that he hosted at City Winery Hudson Valley that featured well-known and upcoming comics like Carmen Lynch, Adrienne iapalucci, and two-time Tonight Show Comic, Isabel Hagen.
Carmen has hung up his producer hat and moved to New York City to pursue his passion for performing.
